We Live To Help Train You

Our community is made up of the friendliest, and hardest working group of people we know. Inside and outside the walls of CrossFit 403, we’re family. And just like family, we joke, compete and share of ourselves with each other. We firmly believe there’s a reason we’ve been honored as a finalist for multiple awards, including winning Family Friendly — our amazing, go-above-and-beyond community.

Between our constantly varied functional movement workouts performed at high-intensity and the support of our community, you’re sure to find the best fitness program, bar-none. Our methodology is proven, and our coaching team is unmatched. We’re skilled at what we do and are excited to share our passion for fitness with you.

Meet our coaching team

Our coaches are highly trained, experienced and dedicated. They bring passion and deliver motivation to ensure that every class is run with precision and professionalism. They are class leaders, community members of CrossFit 403 and experts in the field of health and fitness.

Heather Crippen
Heather CrippenHead Coach | Owner

Heather is an accomplished athlete, coach, mother, and entrepreneur. She started a small training group out of her garage so that she could pursue her fitness while caring for her two sons. The group of 3 quickly grew to 35 members, creating a need to open a dedicated CrossFit training facility. Thus, she opened the doors of CrossFit 403. During that time, she also competed at the Canada West Reginonals in 2010 and 2011. Today, her goal as the owner of CrossFit 403 is to provide a fun, welcoming environment that people want to make a part of their day. As a coach, she loves seeing her members accomplish what they initially thought impossible.

Alicia
Alicia

Alicia has a substantial athletic background, having been a Judo athlete for 10 years. She was on the Alberta provincial team and competed at the Canadian Nationals and Internationals tournaments. Today, CrossFit is her sport of choice and she trains competitively.

Angie
Angie

CrossFit changed Angie’s life in many ways, but most notably, she went from working a desk job to helping people in a fulfilling, exciting way. CrossFit was nothing like she’d ever done and it ignited such a passion in her that she went on to pursue her certification within a few months of starting out. Angie is passionate about growing as a coach and athlete and taking her fitness outdoors as much as possible.

Brittany
Brittany

Brittany started CrossFit in 2011 and went on to obtain her certification the next year. Before CrossFit, she played hockey for 13 years with her team placing 2nd in Western Canada. She also placed 7th in a CrossFit Competition in 2014. As a natural athlete, she enjoys pursing a variety of sports. As a coach, she loves seeing each and every person improve on their path of fitness.

Josh
Josh

Josh considers himself a product of his environment. He joined Heather and Regan in their garage in 2011 when he weighed well over 300 lbs. With their guidance, he had much success in dropping weight and becoming a fitter, healthier self. Josh’s passion for the sport of fitness led him to work as a journalist for CrossFit Headquarters during the 2012 and 2013 Games seasons. He also has a great appreciation for motorcycles and builds custom bikes. He has been featured in several international magazines.

Lee

Lee found CrossFit in 2011 when he was searching for something more exciting than the typical gym routine. Lee is dedicated to creating the fun atmosphere that CrossFit is known for in his classes and enjoys being a part of the members achieving and accomplishing their goals.

Regan
Regan

Regan was introduced to CrossFit by his wife and partner, Heather. As a youth, Regan was very active, pursuing various sports. As a hard gainer, he turned to traditional weight training to put on mass. When he tried CrossFit, he found a training regimen that he truly enjoyed. Regan is committed to building a community of physically and mentally strong people, creating an uplifting and positive environment. He aims to be a role model to his children by guiding them on a path of health and fitness.

Ryan Bennett
Ryan Bennett

Ryan is a firefighter by day, and coffee connoisseur, pastry taster and CrossFit coach by night. Ryan brings to CrossFit 403 many years of hockey, high school football, rugby with Banff Rugby Football Club, and CrossFit experience. He was a top placing athlete in his age group at the World Police and Fire Games, a CrossFit competition, in 2015. As a coach, he specializes in mobility and Olympic weightlifting, and is passionate about human movement, helping people achieve their fitness goals, and baked goods and coffee.

Steve F
Steve F

Steve played AA/AAA level minor hockey in Calgary. A competitive person by nature, he took to CrossFit easily. And as a hockey coach, he enjoyed athlete development and teaching so becoming a CrossFit coach came naturally. Steve appreciates the infectious positive nature of the sport and the CrossFit 403 family and coaching at CF403 has been just as rewarding as coaching hockey.
